    • That’s a great question! There are plenty of resources out there to start your research. We recommend that you begin investigating your family history and tracing their history back as far as possible. Then you can take that information and corroborate that with regional sources from Scotland if you find that connection; i.e. church, local archives, library. There are lots of genealogical groups that can give research tips and many Scottish clan organizations offer research resources as well. Thanks again for your question and come back if you have any more!

  • Are there any Scottish events in the area during the holiday season?

    • Thank you for your question! There are a handful of events during the holidays. Our annual St. Andrew’s Day Celebration and Dinner takes place in late November and is one of our three traditional events of the year. Concerts by the Scottish Partnership for Arts and Education (SPAE) take place, along with the Christmas in the Kitchen Concert as well. Finally, our big event of the holiday season is our annual Robert Burns Dinner in January. Check out the Events menu, join our email list, and follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information!

  • where is the page to down load for ticket purchase with a check

    • Mr. Chapman,

I do not know about any download page that you are referring to about the website. If you’re attempting to purchase tickets to the Burns dinner, you may do so by visiting the online store here: https://www.stlstandrews.org/store/

The checkout procedure will take you to a PayPal page where you can submit payment as a guest. You do not need to have a pre-existing PayPal account.

If you prefer to send a check via regular mail, our mailing address is the following:

Scottish St. Andrew Society of Greater St. Louis
      P.O. Box 50306
      Saint Louis, MO 63105-9998

Please contact the Burns Dinner committee chair Karen Kraft at her email; burnsdinner@stlstandrews.com for more questions, or you may contact the Society President Matt Pantaleoni at his email; president@stlstandrews.com

      Thank you for your submission!

  • I have reserved two tables. I would like them side by side. Can I have a phone number to talk to someone? People are related to the Middleton’s from Eddenborough.

  • FYI the drama team at Warrenton high school will be performing ” The Women of Lockerbie”, April !7, 18, and 19.

  • What date was your Burns Dinner this year (2020)?

    • The 2020 Burns Dinner took place on January 25th at the Frontenac Hilton Hotel. We were certainly lucky for it to occur on January 25th, the traditional Burns date!
