Thistle Do Nicely

Chances are if you've been to Highland games around the country this year, you've seen this traveling store with the wonderfully appropriate name 'Thistle Do Nicely'. Operating out of Belleville Illinois, they sell a variety of Scottish souvenirs, merchandise, and gifts directly imported from the United Kingdom. A relatively new business to open in the St. Louis region, the Thistle Do Nicely staff also travel around the country working as vendors at Highlander games and Scottish festivals. Dad's Cookie Company

Here's a company with a long history in St. Louis. The original Scottish oatmeal cookies came from Scottish at the turn of the 20th century and by 1926, the business made its way to St. Louis. Since then, these cookies have become a hallmark of the St. Louis food scene. The owners still use the same 100 year old recipe to make the best Scotch oatmeal cookies in the entire Midwest.
